Birchwood Christian Warriors (Chugiak, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tanalian Lynx (Port Alsworth, AK), 39-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Birchwood Christian upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Warriors host Sand Point (Sand Point, AK) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Sand Point won 50-30 in their recent non-league bout against Lumen Christi (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Lynx play the Lumen Christi Archangels (Anchorage, AK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Tanalian will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Archangels go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 64-33 league loss to Cook Inlet Academy (Soldotna, AK).
