The New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA), 79-63 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Chickasaws (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Charles City (Charles City, IA). The Comets go into the Northeast Iowa test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Charles City notched a victory over Crestwood (Cresco, IA), 68-51, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Northwood-Kensett for a non-league test on Monday, February 6. Central Springs will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 66-55 non-league loss to Osage (Osage, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 7-14.
