Rhode Island High School Basketball - Central ripped by La Salle Academy

The La Salle Academy Rams basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Central Knights to 51 in the Rams league triumph on Thursday.

The Rams now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Providence for a State Championship contest on Wednesday, February 8. La Salle Academy will battle a Townies team coming off a 71-67 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Townies record now stands at 10-5.

The Knights (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Barrington (Barrington, RI). The Eagles enter the State Championship contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Barrington triumphed over East Providence (East Providence, RI), 71-67, in a league contest.
