Park Rapids Panthers (Park Rapids, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host East Grand Forks Green Wave (East Grand Forks, MN), 78-73 in a league bout.

With the victory, Park Rapids upgrades its record to 2-12 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Detroit Lakes won 78-65 in their recent non-league bout against Aitkin (Aitkin, MN)

Next up, the Green Wave play the Warroad Warriors (Warroad, MN) in a AA Section 8 bout, on Monday, February 6. East Grand Forks will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 7-11 record after their 71-67 league loss to Crookston (Crookston, MN).
