The Hackettstown Tigers (Hackettstown, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Wallkill Valley Rangers (Hamburg, NJ), 62-55 in Thursday's league test.

The Tigers (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ). The Patriots go into the Northwest Jersey - Freedom test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Lenape Valley held off Boonton (Boonton, NJ), 79-66, in a non-league outing.

The Rangers now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Kittatinny Regional for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 4. Wallkill Valley will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 44-39 non-league win over Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 5-9.
