In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hill City Rangers (Hill City, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD), by a count of 64-33.
The Rangers (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD). The Bison go into the A Region 8 outing with a 13-0 record. In their last outing, Hot Springs smashed Custer (Custer, SD), 66-58, in a league outing.
The Irrigators now hold a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Edgemont for a non-league outing on Friday, February 3. Newell will clash with a Moguls squad coming off a 68-17 non-league loss to Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Moguls record now stands at 0-15.
