Platte/Geddes Black Panthers (Platte, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Kimball/White Lake Wildkats (Kimball, SD), 62-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Platte/Geddes upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Black Panthers host Miller (Miller, SD) to play the Rustlers in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Rustlers go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Miller lost 51-45 in their recent non-league bout against Ipswich (Ipswich, SD)

Next up, the Wildkats play the Ethan Rustlers (Ethan, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Kimball/White Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Rustlers go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 57-38 non-league win over Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD).
