The West Branch Bears routed the visiting Lisbon Lions basketball team by a final score of 80-51 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Bears face the Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA) in a River Valley game, on Friday, February 3. West Branch will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Beavers come into the battle with a 13-5 record after their 67-57 non-league win over Alburnett (Alburnett, IA).
The Lions (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Stars come into the non-league battle with a 0-18 record. In their last battle, Starmont was overwhelmed by Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA), 52-44, in a league battle.
