The Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy Crusaders basketball team (Lincolnton, NC), was nudged 1-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC)

The Warriors now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pinnacle Classical Academy for a Western Piedmont battle on Friday, February 3. Veritas Christian Academy will battle a Eagles team coming off a 52-42 league win over Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy (Asheville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 10-9.

The Crusaders (0-12) will now prepare for their battle against Christian Family Academy (Hickory, NC). The Fire come into the Western Piedmont battle with a 10-7 record. In their last battle, Christian Family Academy edged Challenger (Hickory, NC), 85-32, in a league battle.
