The Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) basketball felled the visiting Merrill Bluejays (Merrill, WI), 56-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Mosinee (Mosinee, WI). The Indians go into the Great Northern test with a 15-4 record. In their last test, Mosinee thwarted Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI), 74-45, in a league test.
The Bluejays now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Antigo for a non-league contest on Monday, February 6. Merrill will meet a Red Robins team coming off a 62-50 league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Red Robins record now stands at 2-16.
