North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Academy tipped by Montgomery Central

February 2, 2023: Troy, NC 27371

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team scored a tight 57-54 triumph over the Union Academy Cardinals.

In their next game, the Timberwolves meet the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Conference 47 match, on Friday, February 3. Montgomery Central will attempt to move on its 3-18 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 12-9 record after their 50-47 league loss to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).

With the defeat, Union Academy moves to 4-16 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A Conference 35 match on Friday, February 3. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 11-9. Albemarle won 71-68 in their recent league match against North Stanly (New London, NC)
