Connecticut High School Basketball - New Britain nips Weaver

New Britain Golden Hurricanes (New Britain, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Weaver Beavers (Hartford, CT), 46-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Britain upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Golden Hurricanes travel to Sabis International (Springfield, MA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Sabis International won 85-37 in their recent non-league bout against Baystate Academy (Springfield, MA)

Next up, the Beavers play the University Hawks (Hartford, CT) in a Capitol Region bout, on Friday, February 3. Weaver will attempt to upgrade on its 11-2 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 44-27 league win over Parish Hill (Chaplin, CT).
