The Varsity Opponent (, ) basketball knocked off the host Newman AAA Cardinals (Boston, MA), 62-45 in Thursday's non-league test.
The (357-1080) will now prepare for their test against Montfort Academy (Mount Vernon, NY). The Knights go into the Section 1 Freelance test with a 4-13 record. In their last test, Montfort Academy notched a victory over Education First International Academy (New York, NY), 51-43, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 11-16 record. They play next when they host Hoosac Valley for a non-league test on Sunday, February 5. Newman AAA will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 74-29 non-league win over Hampshire Regional (Westhampton, MA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 7-5.
