Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA), 67-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nodaway Valley upgrades its record to 12-10 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Lenox (Lenox, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a Pride of Iowa bout on Friday, February 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Lenox won 70-47 in their recent non-league bout against Lamoni (Lamoni, IA)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Creston Panthers (Creston, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten bout, on Friday, February 3. Red Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 64-55 league loss to Harlan (Harlan, IA).
