Spencerville Bearcats (Spencerville, OH) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Allen East Mustangs (Harrod, OH), 42-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Spencerville upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Parkway (Rockford, OH) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Parkway won 31-28 in their recent league bout against New Bremen (New Bremen, OH)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Botkins Trojans (Botkins, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Allen East will attempt to upgrade on its 12-6 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 58-46 non-league win over Perry (Lima, OH).
