New Mexico High School Basketball - Cibola trounced by Sandia

The Sandia Matadors routed the host Cibola Cougars basketball team by a final score of 66-37 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Matadors face the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 game, on Saturday, February 4. Sandia will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Scorpions enter the game with a 20-1 record after their 76-29 league win over Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM).

With the defeat, Cibola moves to 3-18 on the year. The Cougars host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Jaguars in a 5A District 1 game on Friday, February 3.
