Connecticut High School Basketball - Kolbe-Cathedral edges Weston

The Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) basketball nipped the host Weston Trojans (Weston, CT), 43-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Brookfield (Brookfield, CT). The Bobcats go into the Southwest - Patriot test with a 11-6 record. In their last test, Brookfield got by Joel Barlow (Redding, CT), 44-41, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Stratford for a non-league test on Monday, February 6. Weston will encounter a Red Devils squad coming off a 45-39 league loss to Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Red Devils record now stands at 6-11.
