The Pleasant Plains Cardinals basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans to 28 in the Cardinals league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverton for a Sangamo contest on Monday, February 6. Pleasant Plains will battle a Hawks team coming off a 51-22 league loss to Athens (Athens, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 5-20.
The Trojans (16-13) will now prepare for their contest against Auburn (Auburn, IL). The Trojans enter the Sangamo contest with a 14-15 record. In their last contest, Auburn was defeated by Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL), 58-19, in a league contest.
