In Thursday's non-league match, the host Zion Christian Mountaineers basketball team scored a tight 36-31 triumph over the Orchard View Cardinals.
In their next game, the Mountaineers meet the Calhoun Christian Cougars (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 3. Zion Christian will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 5-7 record after their 36-25 non-league win over Will Carleton Academy (Hillsdale, MI).
With the defeat, Orchard View moves to 2-15 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Oakridge (Muskegon, MI) to meet the Eagles in a Western Michigan match on Tuesday, February 7. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 8-4.
