The Ledyard Colonels tipped the visiting Bacon Academy Bobcats basketball team by a final score of 56-50 in Friday's non-league game.

The Colonels now possess a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host New London for a Eastern Connecticut I battle on Tuesday, February 6. Ledyard will battle a Whalers team coming off a 92-48 league win over Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Whalers record now stands at 13-3.

The Bobcats (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Putnam (Putnam, CT). The Clippers come into the non-league battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Putnam was nudged by Griswold (Griswold, CT), 81-51, in a non-league battle.
