The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Barnesville Trojans to 66 in the Wolverines league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverines now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henning for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Wadena-Deer Creek will battle a Hornets team coming off a 100-51 non-league win over Sebeka (Sebeka, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 17-3.
The Trojans (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Frazee (Frazee, MN). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Frazee ran past New York Mills (New York Mills, MN), 66-23, in a league contest.
