Sheridan Yellowjackets (Sheridan, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Beebe Badgers (Beebe, AR), 56-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sheridan upgrades its record to 13-9 on the season. The Yellowjackets host El Dorado (El Dorado, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 5A South bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-14. El Dorado won 65-42 in their recent league bout against Arkansas (Texarkana, AR)

Next up, the Badgers play the Vilonia Eagles (Vilonia, AR) in a 5A Central bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Beebe will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 46-45 league win over Catholic (Little Rock, AR).
