Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) and the visiting Peoria Notre Dame Irish (Peoria, IL), witnessed Centennial's basketball squad beat Peoria Notre Dame by a margin of 53-34.

The Chargers (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Glenwood (Chatham, IL). The Titans go into the non-league test with a 16-8 record. In their last test, Glenwood thwarted Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL), 59-31, in a league test.

The Irish now own a 10-13 record. They play next when they travel to Breese Central for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Peoria Notre Dame will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 45-35 non-league win over Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 22-1.
