The Hondo Valley Eagles basketball team (Hondo, NM), was routed 62-26 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM)
The Bears now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Socorro for a 3A District 3 battle on Tuesday, February 6. Hatch Valley will battle a Warriors team coming off a 78-73 non-league win over Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 5-11.
The Eagles (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Grizzlies come into the A District 3 battle with a 6-14 record. In their last battle, Carrizozo trounced Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 58-22, in a non-league battle.
