In Friday's league outing, the Rayne Wolves (Rayne, LA) basketball squad edged the host Leesville Wampus Cats (Leesville, LA), by a margin of 59-54.
The Wolves (11-17) will now prepare for their outing against Eunice (Eunice, LA). The Bobcats go into the 4A District 3 outing with a 9-12 record. In their last outing, Eunice was tipped by DeRidder (DeRidder, LA), 51-46, in a league outing.
The Wampus Cats now own a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to LaGrange for a 4A District 3 outing on Tuesday, February 6. Leesville will clash with a Gators squad coming off a 74-52 league loss to Washington-Marion (Lake Charles, LA). The Gators record now stands at 3-19.
