Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rock Falls Rockets (Rock Falls, IL), 73-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Lutheran upgrades its record to 17-9 on the season. The Crusaders host Stillman Valley (Stillman Valley, IL) to clash with the Cardinals in a Big Northern bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 2-19. Stillman Valley lost 60-43 in their recent non-league bout against Mendota (Mendota, IL)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the Macomb Bombers (Macomb, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Rock Falls will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Bombers go into the bout with a 19-5 record after their 50-32 league win over Astoria/VIT (Astoria, IL).
