Utah High School Basketball - Waterford tops Maeser Prep Academy

Waterford Ravens (Sandy, UT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Maeser Prep Academy Lions (Lindon, UT), 54-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Waterford upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Ravens travel to Rowland Hall (Salt Lake City, UT) to play the Winged Lions in a 2A Region 17 bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Winged Lions come into the bout with a record of 9-11. Rowland Hall won 60-48 in their recent league bout against St. Joseph (Ogden, UT)

Next up, the Lions play the American Leadership Academy Eagles (Spanish Fork, UT) in a 2A Region 17 bout, on Wednesday, February 7. Maeser Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 73-68 league win over Draper APA (Draper, UT).
