Delaware High School Basketball - William Penn can't hold off Middletown

The Middletown Cavaliers basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting William Penn Colonials to 54 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Friday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Odessa for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 6. Middletown will battle a Ducks team coming off a 54-52 league loss to Appoquinimink (West Middletown, DE). The Ducks record now stands at 10-3.

The Colonials (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Hodgson Vo-Tech (Newark, DE). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Hodgson Vo-Tech was nudged by Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE), 61-59, in a non-league contest.
