The New Berlin Pretzels basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Olympia Spartans to 48 in the Pretzels league triumph on Friday.

The Pretzels now sport a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pontiac for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. New Berlin will battle a Indians team coming off a 70-62 league loss to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Indians record now stands at 14-10.

The Spartans (6-18) will now prepare for their contest against Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 5-18 record. In their last contest, Paxton-Buckley-Loda was nudged by Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL), 69-46, in a league contest.
