The Verona Wildcats (Verona, MO) basketball knocked off the visiting New Covenant Academy Warriors (Springfield, MO), 72-58 in Friday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Wheaton (Wheaton, MO). The Bulldogs go into the Ozark 7 test with a 12-6 record.
The Warriors now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Bradleyville for a Mark Twain test on Thursday, February 8. New Covenant Academy will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 101-35 league loss to Niangua (Niangua, MO). The Eagles record now stands at 1-17.
