In Friday's league outing, the North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL), by a margin of 71-42.

The Panthers (12-13) will now prepare for their outing against South County (Franklin, IL). The Vipers go into the non-league outing with a 19-7 record. In their last outing, South County smashed Tri-City (Buffalo, IL), 52-32, in a league outing.

The Vandals now own a 10-15 record. They play next when they host Southwestern for a South Central outing on Tuesday, February 6. Vandalia will clash with a Piasa Birds squad coming off a 38-29 non-league loss to Greenfield/Northwestern (Greenfield, IL). The Piasa Birds record now stands at 18-9.
