In Friday's league outing, the Teurlings Catholic Rebels (Lafayette, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA), by a margin of 53-50.

The Rebels (12-16) will now prepare for their outing against Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA). The Knights go into the 4A District 4 outing with a 21-5 record.

The Patriots now own a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to Kaplan for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 6. North Vermilion will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 56-25 league loss to St. Martinville (St. Martinville, LA). The Pirates record now stands at 5-21.
