Kansas High School Basketball - West Elk tipped by Oxford

The Oxford Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host West Elk Patriots to 53 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Argonia for a South Central Border contest on Tuesday, February 6. Oxford will meet a Red Raiders team coming off a 50-49 league loss to Cedar Vale/Dexter (Cedar Vale, KS). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-13.

The Patriots (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bluestem (Leon, KS). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 2-12 record. In their last contest, Bluestem was nudged by Erie (Erie, KS), 68-63, in a non-league contest.
