Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pineville upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Avoyelles Charter (Mansura, LA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 7. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 23-9.

Next up, the Rebels play the Rayville Hornets (Rayville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. West Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 19-8 record after their 70-19 league win over General Trass (Lake Providence, LA).
