The Pocahontas Indians basketball team scored 71 points and held the host West Bend-Mallard Wolverines to 55 in the Indians non-league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Algona for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Pocahontas will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 71-62 league win over St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-6.
The Wolverines (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Newell-Fonda ran past Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA), 78-59, in a league contest.
