Illinois High School Basketball - Riverton crushes PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central

Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL), 57-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Riverton upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 20-6. St. Joseph-Ogden won 70-62 in their recent league bout against Pontiac (Pontiac, IL)

Next up, the Bluejays play the Williamsville Bullets (Williamsville, IL) in a Sangamo bout, on Friday, February 9. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central will attempt to upgrade on its 12-13 season record.
