Illinois High School Basketball - Rantoul succumbs to St. Thomas More

February 2, 2024: Rantoul, IL 61866

The St. Thomas More Sabers topped the host Rantoul Eagles basketball team by a final score of 42-34 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Sabers face the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 3. St. Thomas More will attempt to move on its 16-8 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 15-8 record after their 53-51 league loss to Athens (Athens, IL).

With the defeat, Rantoul moves to 4-15 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL) to face the Braves in a non-league game on Monday, February 5. The Braves enter the game with a record of 24-1. Mt. Zion won 71-41 in their recent non-league game against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL)
