Shawnee Indians (Lima, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Van Wert Cougars (Van Wert, OH), 47-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Shawnee upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Indians host Ottawa-Glandorf (Ottawa, OH) to play the Titans in a Western Buckeye bout on Friday, February 9. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 15-2. Ottawa-Glandorf won 87-53 in their recent league bout against Celina (Celina, OH)

Next up, the Cougars play the Kenton Wildcats (Kenton, OH) in a Western Buckeye bout, on Friday, February 9. Van Wert will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 68-59 non-league win over Allen East (Harrod, OH).
