The South County Vipers basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host Tri-City Tornadoes to 32 in the Vipers league victory on Friday.

The Vipers now sport a 19-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mac for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. South County will battle a Panthers team coming off a 71-42 league win over Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 12-13.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) in a bout, on Thursday, February 8. Tri-City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-22 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 13-12 record after their 44-39 non-league loss to Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL).
