Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Swampscott Big Blue (Swampscott, MA) and the visiting Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA), saw Swampscott's basketball squad hold off Beverly by a tally of 49-48.

With the victory, Swampscott improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Big Blue travel to Lynn Classical (Lynn, MA) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a challenge, on Friday, February 9. Beverly will attempt to improve on its 10-1 season record.
