The Aqqaluk Bears basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Aniguiin Eagles to 43 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Davis-Romoth for a 1A Northwest Arctic contest on Saturday, February 3. Aqqaluk will meet a Wolves team coming off a 58-41 league win over Kiana (Kiana, AK). The Wolves record now stands at 4-0.
The Eagles (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Kiana (Kiana, AK). The Lynx enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Kiana was routed by Davis-Romoth (Selawik, AK), 58-41, in a league contest.
