Manchester Red Hawks (Manchester, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Avon Falcons (Avon, CT), 59-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Manchester upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Red Hawks travel to Enfield (Enfield, CT) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Enfield won 51-50 in their recent league bout against Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT)

Next up, the Falcons play the Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 67-24 non-league win over Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT).
