Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) and the visiting Williamsport Wildcats (Williamsport, MD), saw Catoctin's basketball squad wallop Williamsport by a tally of 48-27.

With the victory, Catoctin improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Linganore (Frederick, MD) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) in a Central Maryland challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Williamsport will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 47-30 league win over Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD).
