The Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Iola Mustangs (Iola, KS), 50-34 in Friday's non-league test.
The Blue Comets (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS). The Tigers go into the Southeast Kansas test with a 13-1 record. In their last test, Fort Scott notched a victory over Parsons (Parsons, KS), 69-48, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Anderson County for a Pioneer test on Friday, February 9.
