With the victory, East Newton upgrades its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Seneca (Seneca, MO) to play the Indians in a Big 8 challenge on Monday, February 5. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 1-14. Seneca lost 77-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Diamond (Diamond, MO)

Next up, the Cavaliers play the College Heights Christian Cougars (Joplin, MO) in a Ozark 7 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Jefferson Independent Day will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 49-48 non-league win over Lockwood (Lockwood, MO).
