The Monroe Dragons basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host Gold Beach Panthers to 25 in the Dragons league victory on Friday.
The Dragons now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waldport for a 2A Valley Coast contest on Friday, February 2. Monroe will battle a Irish team coming off a 50-38 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, OR). The Irish record now stands at 13-7.
The Panthers (0-21) will now prepare for their contest against Reedsport (Reedsport, OR). The come into the 2A Valley Coast contest with a 11-12 record. In their last contest, Reedsport triumphed over Illinois Valley (Cave Junction, OR), 50-41, in a league contest.
