In Friday's league outing, the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), by a margin of 76-51.
The Warriors (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 17-3 record. In their last outing, Manor smashed Maury (Norfolk, VA), 66-51, in a league outing.
The Hawks now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host King's Fork for a Southeastern outing on Tuesday, February 6. Hickory will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 76-26 non-league win over Windsor (Windsor, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-8.
