The Leavitt Hornets basketball team (Turner, ME), was nudged 55-48 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME)
The Eagles now possess a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount View for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 6. Lincoln Academy will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 52-36 non-league win over Mount Abram (Strong, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-4.
The Hornets (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Huskies come into the non-league battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Maine Central Institute edged Morse (Bath, ME), 29-20, in a non-league battle.
