In Friday's non-league outing, the Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Matawan Regional Huskies (Aberdeen, NJ), by a count of 34-11.

The Green Wave (5-14) will now prepare for their outing against Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ). The Piners go into the non-league outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Lakewood was crushed by Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ), 52-10, in a league outing.

The Huskies now hold a 3-14 record. They play next when they travel to Old Bridge for a non-league outing on Saturday, February 3. Matawan Regional will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 60-37 league loss to South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.
