The Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) basketball felled the visiting Midland Chemics (Midland, MI), 54-40 in Friday's league test.
The Chargers (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Grand Blanc thwarted Davison (Davison, MI), 67-40, in a league test.
The Chemics now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Davison for a Saginaw Valley test on Tuesday, February 6. Midland will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 67-40 league loss to Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-10.
